Games as spatial
meditations.

ÆOX is a spatial game studio. We approach interaction as architects approach voids — with reverence for what is absent. Our works are installed, not launched. They occupy rooms, not screens.

Atelier Note

The Practice

ÆOX began in a converted palazzo in Milan's Brera district. Twelve of us occupy the same long room — writers at drafting tables, programmers at marble-topped consoles, artists with brushes they rarely dip.

We do not prototype. We sketch in negative space. A feature is approved when removing it damages the composition more than keeping it. Our release calendar follows the Biennale, not fiscal quarters.

Our tools are deliberately archaic. We draft on paper before touching a vertex. The computer is our final medium, not our first instinct.

The Atelier

A

Allegra Moretti

Director of Absence

Determines what must be removed. Owns the final negative space approval. Believes a perfect game contains exactly one interaction.

V

Vittorio Saetti

Spatial Architect

Designs rooms that feel heavier after leaving them. Specializes in thresholds, sightlines, and the mathematics of hesitation.

C

Cecilia Reni

Material Poet

Selects textures by touch alone. Advocates for surfaces that age visibly. The moss in Travertine is her handwriting.
